Scuba Tanks

Lightweight, cost-effective, and rust-resistant, but less durable due to thinner walls. They are negatively buoyant when full but become positively buoyant as air is used, requiring additional weights. Common sizes include 40, 50, 63, and 80 cubic feet, with the 80 cu ft (AL80) being the most popular for recreational divers. Typically rated at 3000 psi, with some compact models at 3300 psi.
Advantages: Easier to transport, less prone to corrosion, widely available at dive shops.
Disadvantages: Bottom-heavy, affecting buoyancy; less gas capacity compared to steel.
Dive Gloves, fins, signaling devices and BCDS

Dive gloves provide thermal protection, dexterity, and hand safety against abrasions, sharp objects, or marine life (e.g., during wreck diving). They come in various thicknesses (1–7mm) and styles (five-finger or three-finger mitts) to suit water temperatures and diving conditions. Materials include neoprene, Amara (synthetic leather), or latex for dry gloves used with drysuits. Thicker gloves (5–7mm) are ideal for cold water, while thinner ones (1–2mm) suit tropical waters (27°C+). Features like Velcro or elastic closures, gauntlet cuffs, or drysuit ring systems enhance fit and functionality.
Scuba Cameras

Scuba cameras capture high-quality stills and videos underwater, designed to withstand pressure, water, and challenging lighting conditions. They range from compact point-and-shoots for beginners to advanced mirrorless or DSLR systems for professionals. Key considerations include depth rating, image quality, ease of use, and compatibility with housings, strobes, and lights. Most cameras require a waterproof housing for scuba depths (beyond 10–50 ft), and external lighting is essential below 10 ft due to rapid light loss. Cameras are chosen based on diving skill, budget, and photography goals (e.g., macro, wide-angle, or video).
